Chinese?
went out for our first chinese food experience last night. i was super excited to check out this place, since it had been recommended... "jade garden" sounds good, right? turns out it was ok-- but i think it was because we didn't know what to order. here's what we learned: 1. the chinese menu always has better stuff than the english menu, don't let it trick you; 2. when in doubt, ask what to eat so you know what to expect; and 3. never order anything with mayonnaise (the walnut/shrimp dish was lathered with mayo-- pretty gross.) the flat rice noodles actually tasted pretty much like hunan plus but less greasy... it was just twice the price. oh well, i think we need someone from st. louis to order for us next time.
