Here in St. Louis, needless to say, we are surrounded by some die-hard cardinal fans. We've just finished watching game 3 here... and josh celebrated with a little dance (while getting pillows thrown at him)..jpg)
Then, last night, josh is all smiles again... as we lead 3-1 in the series. we spent all afternoon ooh-ing and ahh-ing at HDTV, making fun of each others' players, booing at the bad calls, sitting through some looong innings, watching a manager and then a player get thrown out of the game, holding our breath at the top of the 9th....jpg)
and victory again!!
phew! we're glad our friends still wanted to go out to eat with us after... :) by the way, it has been commented that our friends from H-town are not real Astros fans because we have more Cards fans commenting on our blog. What!? this is terribly disturbing to us. maybe we should have a contest. where are you, houston? we need some help here.now, onto tonight's clincher... will there be a game 6??

what?! who's accusing me of not being a true astros fan?! who took yall to last year's NLCS game 5 where we shut down the cards at home?? who did yall give an astros spring training jersey to for her bday? who wears an astros tshirt to work during play off time? who keeps mlb.com gameday on in the background at work when there are day games?

Which comments are they talking about? I haven't seen pro-Cardinal comments. Maybe they're ashamed. Go 'Stros! Clinching at home would be sweet! Not going to be easy against Carpenter, though.

Wow, it's Monday night now and all I can say is that "it's not over until it's over!"
pujols make louis happy.
ahhh! i assume that monkey's in memory of the poor stuffed lump resembling a monkey from long ago!
as sad as i was when pujols hit that homer, i have to admit it was a beautiful hit.
kinda glad we'll get to see the stadium once more, but the 'stros can still lick 'em good.
Pujols is a nasty hitter. I had a sinking feeling when we allowed him to come to bat. Props to him for the massive knock. And props to Eckstein for hitting us up all game. Respect Roy O, though! Let's go 'Stros! You can do it! Kick them in their poo holes...

ok, ok. so we give you one more chance, cards. we thought it'd be too humiliating for you to lose 4-in-a-row anyway. Lidge started celebrating too early, but at least he'll get to break loose wednesday.
